Christmas… just two weeks away!!!!

WOW, this year just FLEW by! We had an enjoyable weekend! The best part was that we got lots of snow which I’m pretty happy about, although sadly we still didn’t get enough to groom the trails for xc skiing! This week should be pretty fun. We have the moms night out Christmas Dinner at Chille’s on Thursday, and me and dad’s birthday party next Saturday.

Kirra is absolutely adorable lately. She loves to cuddle on the couch, and watch movies. She is a total girlie girl. She loves playing with her babies, and little people doll house. She LOVES the doll house. What else? We’re kind of just potty exploring at this point. It will be a process, and we have no expectations.
Jason is working hard on getting the basement wiped up for our holiday party in a few weeks. He poured a concrete bar top (look up concrete counter tops sometime) and finished the sheetrock. He’s mudding and taping at the moment. I hope we get it done enough for paint for the party, but we’ll see.
This is my last full week of work before Christmas, then I have off the 23rd,24th, 25th, 28th, 31st and the 1st. Then its 2010. What are we going to say? ten. one-zero, oh ten?

Happy December

Well a Happy December from us to you! We have been for the most part the same, so that is good! Kirra is talking up a storm lately and is about 85% comprehendible! We er…Santa has already bought her presents, and the has accidently seen part of one already but most of it was in the bag :-).

Kirra is all signed up for swimming lessons to begin in January, and mom is really excited about this. It should be fun, and hopefully she will become even more comfortable in the water.
Kirra loves playing in the snow, but we haven’t really gotten enough snow to really really play in. Santa came to our house last Thursday on a fire truck, and the firemen/elves, passed out candy canes… so that was pretty exciting.
Enjoy.

Week in Review

This has been a wild week as well!

Monday:
Monday not much was going on. Just hung out. Went to bed early, it was nice.
Tuesday:
Had my PT job meeting. Found out I didn’t have to go to the 5K if I didn’t want to, which was kind of nice to have the day off! It was also my last day at TCM for the rest of the week. I go back on Monday the 30th though.
Wednesday:
Kirra and I met up with a friend from church and went to Adventure Park, indoor park. It was nice to wear Kirra out. Later on we went to the Fairview clinic in Hugo and got Kirra’s H1n1 vaccine. It was easy as pie. She didn’t even flinch!
Thursday:
Woke up and went to the gas station for some paper to review the ads… and came home to hang out. Went to Jay’s. Jason’s uncles house for some pre-party entertainment. It was nice to see everyone. Then we went to my brothers house for dinner. It was set up in the garage and everything was super yummy! Came home and I was in bed by 11pm.
Friday: Woke up at 4:15am and was at Kohls by 4:30am. The line to check out was so ridiculous that I left and went to Target instead. I got there at 4:45am and waited in a line that wrapped all the way around the outside of the store. But once they opened the doors it went really fast! I got everything I needed, and the checkout lanes were all open so I only had to wait behind 3 people. Not bad AT ALL!!! I was home by 6am. Jason couldn’t belive it. I told him it was too crazy out there. I slept until 9:30am. Then Jason wanted to go shopping at Northtown which wasn’t too crazy at all…. and once we got home we layed Kirra (and me) down for naps. I woke up and went to Betsy’s Creative Memories open house. There was a lot that looked nice! Her husband is a Ramsey County Dispatcher, and he had gotten 5 calls at the Toys R Us in Maplewood overnight!!!!
Saturday:
Tomorrow I am hanging out with my old neighbor growing up and her daughter Keira (pronounced the same as Kirra). We’re also going to Adventure Park! 🙂 Then I am going to come home and clean and take some more naps!!!
Sunday:
Sunday is Church and relaxation day!

Fun Party

Well we had Kirra’s birthday party yesterday and it was a blast! We ordered Pizza and had an elmo cake from Target! (YUM). Kirra got lots of nice gifts, She got a remote control car a gift certificate to Stride Rite, a baby stroller, some clothes, little people set, her very first bible, an adorable puppy that you can program online to say your childs name, so now it sings her songs and talks to her using her name. Its so cute. And she absolutely LOVES it. She dropped it out of her crib tonight and started crying hysterically! Books, slippers, and Elmo doll & an Elmo DVD. I’ve noticed even in the past week she has grown so much developmentally and talks a LOT now. She can say so much. She is singing and talking to her puppy and elmo right now!

She has her two year check up at the doctor tomorrow, so I am excited to get her stats, and what not. Hopefully no shots, but I have a feeling she’ll be getting her flu shots.
Wednesday Jason and I are going to a Hinder Concert, and on Saturday we’re going on a date to see New Moon!
Then next week is Thanksgiving week! Yippee!

Happy Birthday Sweet K Bee

I can’t even believe my sweet sweet daughter is already two. We bought her cupcakes to bring to daycare this morning, and she and her friends enjoyed them very much!!! After daycare Jason and I brought her to Target to play with toys, and buy some too! We bought her a very fun slide, and some color tub crayons for the bathtub! We got some LeAnn Chins for diner and K absolutely LOVED it.

Re-Coup

Well the marathon is now over, and its been over a week since i’ve posted. The marathon went well, and we had absolutely perfect weather! For spectators, and volunteers it may have been just a tad chilly, but it was actually PERFECT for the runners! I’m not going to complain either way.

Last Tuesday Jason won concert tickets on 93x to see Creed. It was a great concert. Like a Storm, and Staind opened for them, which were a bit heavier rock than I liked, but Creed was super great. They also had pyrotechnics there too, and you could feel the heat of the flames on stage from way back where we were sitting!
This weekend we just layed low! Yesterday we woke up to snow, so I bundled Kirra up in her snow suit, and I put mine on as well, and we went out and played in the snow. She really liked it, and wouldn’t eat the snow, but maybe that is a good thing! I got some great pictures of her on our SLR camera, but that’s film so you will have to wait!
I got my nails done, and then went for an hour long massage at Massage Envy. Gosh it wasn’t enough time! It was great though. Today I served at church in the kids area, and Kirra had a blast! Kirra is supposed to be taking a nap right now, but she is putting up quite the protest, i’m blogging until I fall asleep and Jason is watching the Vikings game. Anything could happen tonight, but mostly I need to get caught up with Desperate Housewives. If Kirra goes to bed soon, and wakes up at a decent enough hour, maybe we can go to Adventure Park and play!
Next weekend i’m working my PT job, for Run for the Apples. My absolute favorite race ever! I hope we get nice weather. Tomorrow is supposed to snow 2-4 inches. Jason doesn’t like the snow because it could impeed his ability to work in the winter which in that case I wouldn’t like either…. but I like the snow. Its pretty, and its magical….

Toddler Trotter!

Well Kirra woke up this morning and had a toaster strudel for breakfast along with some pecan sandies. Jason called and asked what to dress her in, so she came down in a onsie turtle neck, some leggings, a sweatshirt, hoodie, and tights. She got to see the mascots which she was a bit scared of when they got up close to her. It was rather cute. She would hug on to us very tight. We went in the Family Activity Tent and warmed up before her race where I was able to take her hood down, and I saw that Jason had done her hair into a Mohawk with gel and everything! It was really kind of cute actually! I’m actually surprised he didn’t dye it with me gone for the weekend! Pam and Phil came out, and Nana Theo. And Nana Susue, and my dad, all came out and watched too! Missy, Brian, Ally & Gabby all came out and the girls all raced! They had an Up and Up changing station which was really nice, and were handing out free up and up stuff, along with coupons too!

Jason, Theo, Pam, Phil and Kirra went to candy land and to Jay’s for a little visit. I’m back working at the temp office now until 9pm tonight. Then tomorrow its a very early morning to be over at the metrodome for the start of the race and then a long day tomorrow with the marathon, then cleanup, and then I get to go home and see my love bugs!

SO HOT!

So why am I up at 3:40am? Because my room is hotter than Iraq! My thermostat is turned all the way down to 55 to try and blow cold air in there, but it just keeps pumping the heat! If after a little while typing I go back up and its still as hot as Iraq, i’m going to tell the front desk to try and have someone fix it. I should have just went home and stayed there. I miss my bed. I miss my Jason and Kirra.
They have these sleep number beds, and honestly I don’t understand why people like them so much. Its either way to hard, or when you do make it softer then the edges of the bed are hard as a rock (the frame I presume).
So at the RiverCentre they have a little Java Cafe, and we got these travel mugs and coupon ticket, and if we show our mug/ticket, we can have free hot drinks, and free smoothies all day! I’m going to be needing to take full advantage of the free mochas.
Tomorrow is the VIP reception. I have a few tasks I need to do on top of my customer service tomorrow. I need to print table tents for the press confrences, and nametags for the VIP reception, which I am very very excited for.
Well hopefully if I go back up its cooled down now that I set it to 55. It was at 68 or 65 but apparently that’s too hot. Another thing I found kind of weird in my room… i’m on the 17th floor, and they have these huge windows, where the bottom opens up with no screen. I mean you couldn’t fall out in this crack, but I just find it odd. I’m sure you can’t break it and fall thru, but it made me kind of nervous….
Hopefully I can get more sleep. I didn’t go to bed until 11pm.

Fresh Look

Well I thought the blog needed a little face lift. So I updated the html again, but also changed the title to fit a bit better. Well in addition to the plants that we got at Pam & Phil’s we also got a bunch of plants at Lowes this past weekend. Everything in their Lawn & Garden dept was 75% off! Can you believe that? So we got about $300-$400 worth of plants, trees and shrubs for about $75. It was very cool.

The packet stuffing went really good, and I can’t even believe that this is marathon week/end already! It seems like we just did it not too long ago. It should be fun though. There is lots of fun stuff that will be happening this week. Thursday I will be staying at the hotel so unfortunately I won’t get to see Kirra from Thursday morning until Sunday night :-(. Its sad…. but this is my 3rd time. Jason is going to bring Kirra down to the Capitol for the Toddler Trot on Saturday so I will still get to see her. :-). I’m glad its supposed to be cool. I can actually wear my Race Official Jacket! We got to last year as well, but I got drenched one or two times….I really just hope it doesn’t RAIN at all! Cool all it wants…. just no rain!!!
Tomorrow two of my girlfriends are coming over for small group so that should be nice. We usually go to my other friends house, but since it’s race week i’ve requested they come to my house so that Jason doesn’t have to watch her all week. I don’t have a midwest events/vacation sports meeting this weekend, which will be nice since i’m so busy and since Wednesday is my last night home before the big race! Should be fun!!! I’ll be taking lots of pictures this week/end.

Planting Fun

Well since we’ve been back, I’ve helped put on Square Lake Traithlon’s, and we’ve gotten a ton of plants from Pam and Phil. Our front yard is really coming along. I’ll have to take a picture sometime soon. This weekend I’ve got a 5K to help put on, and packet stuffing for TCM. Should be fun. Sunday is my sissy & Gran’s birthday. I think she is going to be 94. That is just amazing. Not much else is going on which is pretty nice!
